Original Posting (07/16/2020): Damian Lillard has quite the impressive feat with the Three Stripes; six signature shoes, as well as earning himself his very first signature shoe at just 24 years old. adidas and Lillard will be continuing their ongoing partnership and the Dame 7 has finally surfaced.
The adidas Dame 7 looks to arrive with quite a distinct look in comparison to its predecessor models. They appear to feature a full length Lightstrike foam midsole atop a modified herringbone outsole. While it’s not very clear due to the quality of the photo, the build looks to utilize a knit with stitched overlays, as well as a synthetic tongue and heel counter, and a unique lacing enclosure that extends further out into the heel at the top eyelets. In addition the the materials and tooling, there is also a “7” TPU piece placed at the rear midsole which likely serves the purpose of stabilizing the Lightstrike foam at the heel from over compressing on lateral movements.
Let us know what you think of the adidas Dame 7 in the comments below. Stay tuned for further updates as they will likely be releasing later this Fall 2020 for under $120.
UPDATE (07/29/2020): New vibrant colorways of the adidas Dame 7 have been unveiled in photos, which also reveal a much more detailed look at the shoe in comparison to the “first look” photo from weeks prior.
New detailed photos showcase the shoe features a primarily foam backed mesh upper, paired with nylon cabled eyelets and a thick grooved, modified herringbone outsole.
An official release date has yet to be unveiled, but the Dame 7 should be arriving to retailers later this year. Stay tuned for further updates.
