Original Posting (03/08/2020): The Swoosh’s next auto-lacing shoe has surfaced—the Nike Adapt Auto Max.
This new auto-lacing lifestyle silhouette from Nike arrives in two surfaced colorways. The shoe looks to feature a canvas-esque jacquard upper, paired with a fused mudguard overlay, and Nike’s Adapt auto-lacing technology. Four elastic bands are placed at the midfoot where the tongue of the shoe is, which is something more traditional in comparison to the multitude of cords and fasteners used in the Adapt BB 1.0 and 2.0. Further details of the shoe include a foam midsole, encasing a heel Air Max bag. The heel is also quite exaggerated and very thick, as the outsole wraps up just near the ankle collar. Completing the look is a Waffle traction pattern and two “Left” and “Right” Adapt lacing buttons on the lateral midsole.
