Original Posting (04/02/2020): In 2019, Jordan Brand released a new performance basketball shoe line called the Jumpman Diamond. Now, just ahead of the Summer time, the line looks to get its sequel with the Jordan Jumpman Diamond 2.
The Jumpman Diamond 2 looks to arrive with a completely new silhouette in comparison to its predecessor model, which goes against the natural progression other Jordan Brand models have done. The shoe appears to feature a textile mesh upper for the build, which is paired with a midfoot synthetic overlay acting as eyelets and reinforced lateral support, as well as a synthetic heel counter. Further details include a unique slanted heel design for easier entry into the shoe, a circular Jordan logo laterally, and a midfoot shank plate which decouples the sole, providing torsional rigidity to the shoe. The heel is rumored to feature Nike’s leading REACT foam, is caged in a rubberized TPU, whereas the forefoot is also rumored to feature Zoom Air.
