Gordon Hayward’s first signature shoe with Chinese sportswear company, ANTA, is finally here—the ANTA GH1. Before the shoes even released, we were fortunate enough to receive the limited edition ‘Barbershop’ colorway and publish our performance review.
The ANTA GH1 ‘Alpha’ has released at select, trusted ANTA retailers, including Hi Basketball Shoes, and ANTA Shop, for $125 USD. These pairs have been made available to ship to U.S. residents, so if you wanted your own pair of the GH1s, now you have the opportunity.
The ANTA GH1 features a multi-directional rubber outsole, featuring a tiger teeth traction pattern, inspired after Hayward’s favorite animal. Aso featured is a full length A-FLASHFOAM midsole, the same foam cushioning used in the ANTA KT5, which didn’t disappoint. The upper features a neoprene inner bootie, an “Alpha Next” jacquard midfoot, as well as a synthetic leather which overlays the toe cap. Completing the shoe is a pull tab at the heel, and a large ANTA logo heel counter.
