Michael Jordan’s tenure with Nike, and the creation of his own subsidiary brand with the footwear giant is nothing short of an impressive feat. His thirty fourth signature shoe only made its official retail debut months ago, and we already have a look at its special edition version—the Air Jordan 34 SE, featuring zippers
This new offering looks to arrive with a vastly similar look to previous Nike EXT models, which were essentially lifestyle models of performance sneakers, featuring premium materials and special casual features, like zippers. This iteration of the Air Jordan 34 SE appears to feature the same tooling as its predecessor model—a full length Phylon foam midsole encasing a large volume forefoot Zoom Air bag, with a TPU eclipse plate to reduce weight and provide torsional support.
The upper is where the primary changes have been made, looking to upgrade from the thin textile mesh featured on the original Air Jordan 34. While we only have one photo of the sneaker, it appears as if a suede/nubuck will make up the panel of the forefoot, while the rear quarter paneling will be comprised of a ripstop material, which is then underlaid by a nubuck bootie. Completing the shoe is a White leather shroud, which covers a set of laces, and is zippered to the upper in conjunction with the rear ripstop material.
