Derrick Rose’s first signature shoe with the Three Stripes looks to be receiving a retro treatment, after almost ten years since its official debut. Check out the adidas D Rose 1 Retro, set for an early 2020 release.
While Rose’s career didn’t pan out as we all expected, or wanted, he’s still had a historic signature line with adidas. Being just one of few athletes to have ten signature shoe with one brand is a huge accomplishment. Another huge milestone is D Rose’s first signature shoe with adidas Hoops, the D Rose 1, making a retro return.
The adidas D Rose 1, or the adiZero Rose, originally came equipped with a a SPRINTSKIN monomesh upper for a lightweight feel and breathability, decoupled PUREMOTION outsole, and an adiPrene foam midsole. The shoe was intentionally designed for Rose’s quick and shifty abilities. In October 2019, D Rose was one of the quickest guards in the NBA, so you’d expect the shoes he’d be rocking would need to meet the former MVP’s expectations on the hardwood.
While we have no information of what the Retro release of the adidas D Rose 1 will feature, we have a first look at the anticipated Retro, slated for a potential Wednesday, January 1st, 2020 release date, retailing at $170.
