Spencer Dinwiddie, one of the league’s top players, and an excellent contributor to his newly revamped Brooklyn Nets squad, has debuted his second signature shoe by his own self-endorsed brand called K8IROS.
His first signature shoe was called the K8IROS 8.1 which was made with the help of Project DREAM, a company that makes athletes’ visions a reality. We have yet to receive comment from Spencer Dinwiddie himself on what his second self-endorsed signature shoe is to be named, but we presumably enough, he may end up calling these the K8IROS 8.2.
Spencer Dinwiddie’s next signature shoe is not only a breath of fresh air for us sneakerheads, but it’s also a unique opportunity for all of us. Right now, the performance basketball footwear world is at its peak as multiple brands like PUMA and New Balance have gotten back into the game, which has increased the competition among all the companies to create better, and more competitively priced product. Spencer Dinwiddie is doing just that, but without being endorsed by a large corporation like Nike, adidas, Jordan Brand, or Under Armour.
Dinwiddie’s next shoe looks to arrive equipped with a few minor tweaks from his first shoe. His first shoe featured a knitted textile/mesh upper, a full-length KronoFoam midsole, and a midfoot bungee cord for lockdown. That looks to be brought back into his next shoe, but with more innovation. The tooling looks to remain nearly identical to its predecessor. The upper is where the significant changes have been made, sporting a one-piece bootie construction, and a new synthetic paneling overlay with a cool-looking Brooklyn City skyscape print on the lateral side. You can also see Dinwiddie’s logo at both rear pull tabs each shoe, and his brand’s name “K8IROS” stamped onto each heel counter of the shoes.
