Since leaving entering the sneaker seen years ago, Kanye West’s Yeezy Sneakers have emerged as some of the most sought after, hard to get, and expensive sneakers to hit the market. Originally at Nike where West would first showcase his designing abilities, the Nike Air Yeezy’s became the first release. This silhouette mixed basketball style, and designer footwear to give us three solid models that are to this day some of the hottest sneakers created. Then came the falling out between Kanye and Nike due to the inability for West to fully display his full potential as a designer. In comes Adidas and from there the rest is history. Since Kanyes early days at Adidas he has been awarded his own signature line with full reigns over design and manufacturing. With this new freedom Kanye has created the Yeezy Line which has seen massive success with the release of multiple sneakers.
First the Yeezy 750 and 350 hit the market. The 750 a casual boot style sneaker would share the spotlight with the 350 which was the casual runner. Next the 950 weather resistant boot. These were followed up by the Yeezy Calabasas also a causal silhouette. Then came the 700 wave runner and 500 utility both casual runners. While all these releases saw massive success up until now there had been nothing geared towards the active athletes. Kanye vowed to change that as news broke last year of the yeezy’s breaking into the basketball sneaker market.
After much speculation recently images have begun to leak of what will be the first basketball sneaker for Yeezy. Still yet to receive a title these new sneakers seem to feature the same bold original designs that we are used to getting from the Yeezy line. This new sneaker seems to have full length boost cushioning wrapped in a translucent outer sole for added stability. The heel as well as the tops of the laces and print on the sneaker all feature a holographic print that shines when hit with a flash.
We have so far seen three color ways of the sneaker, the white and black pictured above, an all black, and one with a color scheme resembling the Yeezy 700 Wave Runner. We don’t no much more of this sneaker as of now but from the images this chunky new design seems to offer a style that we dont see in many other basketball sneakers. With still no news of a release date apart from during the upcoming basketball season you can stay tuned to One on One Testers and The Sneaker Bulletin for any updates.
