Jordan Brand is continuing the trend of taking its retro hightop silhouettes and revamping them by releasing a low version. Here we get a first look at the Jordan 7 low, after news of the release broke back in March with much speculation around color ways. Originally a sample photo released from 10 years ago surfaced as we got our first look at a black and grey Tinker designed sample colorway of the sneaker. Earlier this month that photo was followed up by images of the Air Jordan 7 Low in the famous ‘Bordeaux’ colorway and now new images have emerged of two original colorways a ‘Bright Concord’ and ‘Taxi’ also set to release.
The “Bordeaux” colorway is one we have already seen before on the hightop version of the Jordan 7. Featuring a black and grey upper with hints of wine, blue and crimson on the tongue and sole. The second “Taxi” colorway is one we have not seen before from Jordan. The tumbled leather upper as wrell as the tongue are a taxi yellow, while the black sole is accented by peaks of white and maroon.
The third color way, the “Bright Concord” go a different route, with an all bright concord suede upper similarly to its counterpart the black sole is accented by marron and concord peaks. The tongue also features a blend of colors with the bright concord and maroon being adorned by a lighter green. These new colorways are definitely flashy.
Aside from the Jordan 11 not many of the Jordan numbered models have been able to translate from hightop to lows successfully but maybe introducing some new bright color ways will help the Jordan 7 shake that trend. Look for all 3 colorways to drop soon as they are slated for a late summer release with no date set, and retail for $140. Will these be a low top must cop?
