Nike SB ‘Rivals’ Pack | Sneakers Inspired by Jordan vs. Penny

Nike has some big plans upcoming for their SB line and it involves two of the biggest names in the world of basketball and basketball sneakers, Michael Jordan and Penny Hardaway.  Being two amazing players in the NBA at the same time on different teams, its hard not to draw comparisons, as well as for rivalries to spark. This rivalry ended in 14 wins for Jordan, and 7 for Penny each with impressive stat lines.  Jordan averaged 28.4 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 4.6 apg, 2.3 spg and 1.0 bpg, while Penny posted a line of 20.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.6 spg, and 0.4 bpg. The upcoming Nike SB pack features two classic Nike SB silhouettes, that take inspiration from two of Jordan and Penny’s more iconic models.

The first of the two models in the “Rivals” Pack, is the Nike SB Air Force 2 Low “Foamposite”.  Pictured above this Sneaker features the classic metalic blue color way, that draws inspiration from Penny Hardaways Iconic Foamposite One.  Black adornes the toe, tongue, laces and heel loop with the white Nike symbol present in a similar style to that of Penny’s past sneaker.  Finally the sneaker wouldnt be the same without the translucent sole similarly feature on the Foamposite One.  Look for these to come to retail sometime in November with a pricetag of $105.

The second sneaker in the Nike “Rivals” pack is the Nike Sb Dunk Hi, modeled after Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 11 “Bred”.  Mimicing the Jordan 11, this Nike Dunk Hi features a black patent leather throughout most of the sneakers upper with some mesh on the middle panel, tongue, and laces.  The sneakers colorway is a mirror image of the “Bred” 11’s with an all black upper, white midsole and red sole.  Still no word on pricing but look for these to hit shelves around the same time as the Air Force 2 Lows as part of the “Rivals” pack.  Check below for more pics of each sneaker as well as their inspiration, and dont forget to give us your opinion on these below, comment, like and share!!
