After seeing many on foot pictures of what we believe to be the Nike Kyrie 5, we’re finally getting an up close look to Kyrie’s highly anticipated model that is rumored to be getting a $10 price increase. This silhouette is the same as the on foot pictures, confirming this to be the next Kyrie shoe.
The upper of the shoe doesn’t seem groundbreaking. From what I can see, Nike is going with an engineered mesh upper with fuse overlays on the medial side of the toecap. The three eyelets have a dynamic flywire lacing system. Additionally, they also boast a space/galaxy pattern coming across the tongue, most likely a nod to Kyrie and his off court interests. Aside from that we have a mid sole that slightly comes up into the lateral side of the upper. No official word on the cushioning quite yet, but some speculate there will be a forefoot Zoom Air Bag, just from the visibility of the outsole.
To wrap up this leak, we get a nice up close look at the traction pattern. Kyrie shoes have been known for amazing traction and crazy patterns, so I have high hopes for this pattern. That wraps up this leak, stay tuned to One on One Testers and The Sneaker Bulletin for more leaks.
