In late August of 2018, Adam Silver and the National Basketball Association loosened all of the rules for color restrictions on sneakers athletes would be rocking. Here we are now, just a couple of days out of the regular season to begin, and NBA stars will soon be free to wear shoes of any color on the hardwood, without being nagged by the league.
Nike just published an article on their website stating that their rookie and sophomore signed players will be wearing shoes they personally customized on NIKEiD back in early September for a customized design sit-down. Not only is this dope, but Nike is certainly doing everything they can to take advantage of the league loosening the color restriction rule.
All of the PEs shown below will most likely not release a general release colorway to the public, but you should be able to make your own colorways just like the ones down below, right on NIKEiD today. Check out the kicks NBA athletes will be rocking on opening night down below, and view The Sneaker Bulletin for more information on what’s to appear on the hardwood as the season comes underway. Are you excited to see what the NBA rookies and sophomores will have on feet this season? Will you customize your own pair on NIKEiD? Let us know in the comment section.
