More fire Kyrie 5 colorways are coming our way in 2019. The Kyrie 5 EP isn’t just an awesome new colorway of the Kyrie 5, but also has performance features that the regular Kyrie 5 doesn’t have. The EP stands for Engineered Performance, which basically means the outsole uses a highly durable rubber which translates to this colorway being more suited towards outdoor play.
This colorway, for obvious reasons, is being dubbed the ‘Bred’ colorway. That engineered mesh upper is all black alongside the flytrap lockdown strap. The red on the shoe is featured on the heel of the shoe, the tongue logo, and on some of the eye traction pods. The whole outsole itself is a cool grey colorway that accommodates the eye traction pattern that the Kyrie 5 is notable for.
Other than the colorway and the engineered performance upgrade, these are still the same Kyrie 5 that people been hooping in. The forefoot features Air Zoom Turbo, an articulated Zoom bag that I’ve tried on, and I was honestly how I was able to feel it right away.
The Nike Kyrie 5 ‘Bred’ is slated to release at the beginning of the new year, retailing at $130. Do you dig Uncle Drew’s newest colorway of his fifth signature shoe? Will these be an upgrade performance wise? Let us know in the comments and share your thoughts with us.
