The 2018-19 NBA Season has only been under way just over a month, and we’ve already seen new signature models and exclusive player edition colorways appear on the hardwood already. In that short span of time, we’ve also got a glimpse of the future of adidas Hoops’ performance basketball line, while Gerald Green debuted the N3XT L3V3L on the hardwood last night.
One on One Testers first reported upon the adidas N3XT L3V3L back in August earlier in the year. Regardless of no official information of these being available, we still have a lot to look forward to with this future performance model to release from adidas Hoops. A black primeknit upper looks to serve as the base of the shoe, while full length BOUNCE cushioning seems to be evident.
Furthermore, a lateral mid-foot TPU clip or ‘banking barrier’ was first N3XT L3V3L’s. While the clip looks like it could pinch your foot, it looks like it should provide ample lateral stability when cutting. In addition, a nylon/neoprene compression sock seems to be evident, while a heel pull tab is there to put on the shoe more efficiently. Topping it all off is a herringbone outsole that should be well suitable for multi-directional coverage on the hardwood.
As the season comes underway, we should expect these to appear on the court by adidas Hoops endorsed athletes, and potentially a release date could become available in the future. What are your thoughts on these laceless adidas basketball shoes? Are they an ankle sprain waiting to happen? Could these be a top performer of the year? Let us know in the comments and keep it locked to the site as more details come underway.
