Original Posting (02/20/2020): Unfortunately the two time MVP and three time NBA champion, Stephen Curry, has been out, all but four games during the 2019-2020 NBA campaign, due to a severely broken hand. While his seventh signature shoe has only been available since the first of November, it looks like we have our first look at the three point specialist’s upcoming eighth signature shoe—the Under Armour Curry 8.
This new offering from UA arrives in a completely new design language and aesthetic in comparison to recent Under Armour Curry models. The shoe features a one-piece construction, likely comprised of a knitted or woven material. Unfortunately, due to the poor resolution of the photos shared, it is difficult to determine what the material of the upper featured looks like. However, the upper features two pull tabs, and a noticeable reinforcement panel of likely fuse laterally, and a panel medially at the heel to midfoot. A standard set of laces appear to go through wired eyelets through the upper. It’s quite difficult to determine what the cushioning will be, but it’s likely HOVR and Micro G make a return from the Curry 7.
