UPDATE (09/15/2019): PUMA has unveiled a release date for their new Clyde Hardwood basketball shoe, scheduled to release Friday, October 18th, 2019 for $120.
After we reported the first look at an unseen PUMA basketball shoe debuted by J.Cole and RJ Barrett on the hardwood, we now have some insight as to what these shoes are really called. Introducing the PUMA Clyde Hardwood, the brand’s latest basketball shoe.
The shoes arrive debuted in a White/Green makeover inspired by the Boston Celtics, as well as a White/Pink colorway we first saw on the feet of RJ Barrett. Tech specs will include a full length rubber cupsole encasing PUMA’s new cushioning technology called ProFoam. The build is comprised of mainly a forefoot textile mesh, while a premium grain leather makes up the rear quarter panel of the shoe. Finishing touches include suede accents at the heel, a beefy heel clip, rubber caging at the heel, and the name “Clyde” stamped at the heel.
The PUMA Clyde Hardwood currently does not have an official release date, but be sure to stay tuned as updates arrive. Look out for these to arrive this Fall/Winter 2019. Let us know what you think as we think the rubber cupsole that is borrowed from the Clyde Court should not have been used due to weight and foam compression.
