The Winflo running line by the Swoosh has been a huge staple for quite a few years. Continuing upon its long standing success is its seventh signature model—the Nike Zoom Winflo 7.
The first look at the Winflo 7 reveals an improved take on an already successful performance running shoe. The silhouette of the sneaker appears to be very similar to its predecessor model, the Winflo 6. The Winflo 6 featured an engineered mesh upper build, paired with a Cushlon foam midsole encasing heel and forefoot Zoom Air bags. However, the Winflo 7’s midsole appears to be very similar to the Vomero 14 and the EXP-X14, where both models featured full length REACT foam. The foam compound in the Winflo 7s has yet to be confirmed, but it’s highly likely Cushlon makes a return from the 6s or REACT will be implemented. Nonetheless, we can confirm Zoom Air will be featured as per the branding on the sole. But, the implementation of the Zoom Air is still up in the air. The upcoming Zoom Pegasus 37, however, is confirmed to feature REACT.
The modified waffle tread from the 6 appears to be featured with the 7s, but with a few minor tweaks in the tread’s pattern. The upper hasn’t changed much, as an open-air engineered mesh upper is still intact, with a different Nike Swoosh placement. A standard lacing enclosure through eyelets in the upper and a detached tongue completes the look.
