We reported that Gordon Hayward had inked a four year endorsement deal with Chinese sportswear brand, ANTA, in September. Ten months later, photos have surfaced of Hayward’s first signature shoe, the ANTA GH1.
While Hayward has been wearing Klay Thompson’s KT4 Low signature shoe on the hardwood for the majority of the 2018-19 NBA Season, he’ll now have his own gear to rock in advance for the 2019-20 NBA Season.
Images of the outsole have yet to be revealed, but the tooling utilizes a thick foam cushioning setup with forefoot stabilization on the lateral side. The foam compound has not received any confirmation, but it’s likely we’ll see ANTA’s premium cushioning technology, A-Shock or Flash Foam make an appearance with this brand new model.
A synthetic toe cap makes up the front of the build, while a rear canvas makes up the midfoot material, with an internal one-piece bootie construction completing the build. Various triangular shapes can be seen at the lateral upper and midsole. Finishing off the shoe is is a GH logo at the lateral forefoot clip, and tongue.
Gordon Hayward’s first signature shoe is currently slated to arrive this December, likely retailing in the $100-$120 price range.
Keep it locked here as an official release date comes underway, and stay tuned for the earliest updates on Hayward’s first sneaker with ANTA Sports.
