Original Posting (03/05/2020): Only two days ago on March 3rd, we reported that Converse had signed three time NBA champion, Draymond Green, to a shoe deal, to become one of the brand’s biggest ambassadors in quite some time, alongside Phoenix Suns wing Kelly Oubre. Now, Draymond Green is set to debut the upcoming Converse G4 tonight versus the Toronto Raptors—the brand’s next basketball shoe launch since the All Star Pro BB.
The Converse G4 combines element from the old school 80s and 90s era with modern Nike technology. The shoe features a retro-inspired traction pattern for the outsole, but the midsole is where the more modern technology is introduced. Nike’s REACT foam sits at the heel, whereas the forefoot features a Zoom Air bag. The upper is comprised of a textile mesh, paired with synthetics and fused overlays all around the shoe for added durability and support. Completing the look is a standard set of rope laces, and a low cut ankle collar.
Let us know what you think of the upcoming Converse G4 in the comments below. Keep it locked to this posting for further updates as Nike will officially unveil the shoe likely tonight, or in the near future with additional press release details.
