ANTA GH1 Performance Review (REVISITED)

ANTA GH1 Performance Review, revisited after 6+ months of wear.

Gordon Hayward’s first signature shoe, the ANTA GH1 released in late December of 2019. And, ever since they released and we were able to review them, they’ve been our go-to performance basketball and off-court shoe, because they’re just that good.

The ANTA GH1 arrives with a webbed multi-directional outsole, full length A Flash Foam carrier midsole with softer density heel and forefoot pucks, “Alpha Next” jacquard upper, and an internal bootie with a nylon cabled lace enclosure to complete the shoe.

After over six months of not only playing basketball, but also wearing the GH1 off court for casual wear, the GH1 still sits at the number one spot in my rotation, tied with the KT5 Low. Everything about the GH1 is nearly perfect for me; good, durable traction, plush, bouncy, cushion with amazing impact protection without sacrificing court feel, ridiculously premium uppers, as well as a fantastic fit, support, and lockdown to wrap it up.

The ANTA GH1 is available at select retailers like,, and in select colorways and sizes. Let us know if you plan to grab a pair in the comments below.
