adidas Hoops Reveals the Pro Vision, Marquee Boost, & N3XT L3V3L

adidas Hoops is closing out 2018, and beginning the new year with three new performance basketball silhouettes.

adidas Hoops is deciding they want to end 2018 off with the launch of three newly introduced performance basketball models to their line-up; Pro Vision, Marquee Boost, & N3XT L3V3L. As if 2018 wasn’t filled with amazing releases from adidas, such as the Harden Vol. 3, the brand with the three stripes is looking to forward their amazing hoops line. Without talking too much (in this case typing), let’s see what adidas is releasing to pique our interest this time around.

adidas Pro Vision

Color: Cloud White/Core Black

MSRP: $100

Style Code: G27753

Release Date: Saturday, December 1st (24 Hour Quickstrike at 1 PM EST)

General Release: Sunday, December 2nd

The first model is dubbed the Pro Vision, which is a newly aroused model, we haven’t seen much of since John Wall rocked them at NBA Media Day. This hoops model, as all the other two mentioned in this article is set for a public Spring ’19 release, apart from having a limited debut in early December. The silhouette is inspired by a modern street ball sneaker and has standout features such as the mid foot cage, which provides some awesome lateral coverage and stability. adidas Hoops is going to use Bounce cushioning for this model and gives us a dope herringbone tread pattern that will get the job done. The Pro Vision will retail for $100, making this a solid budget hoops shoe.

adidas Marquee Boost Mid & Low

Color: Core Black / Cloud White / Solar Red & Raw White / Cloud White / Off White

MSRP: $130 (Mid) $120 (Low)

Style Code: D96931 (Low)

Release Date: Saturday, December 1st

24 Hour Quickstrike (Mids at 3 AM EST) (Lows at 1 PM EST)

General Release: Sunday, December 2nd

Next we got the Marquee Boost, a 90s inspired basketball performance shoe. At first glance, you can see how the Marquee Boost takes inspiration from 90s sneaker, the sneaker has that old school built like a tank look. But delving deeper, you can see how it mixes the old with the new. adidas is going with their Boost midsole that many seem to love, including myself! There are also heel pods inside the shoe that complement the padded collar to provide a nice fit that offers a good amount of padding where needed. The outsole on these bad boys is a translucent herringbone tread with a pivot point under your big toe! The Mids are set to retail at $130, while the Lows at $120 making it pricier than the Pro Vision.

adidas N3XT L3V3L

Color: Cloud White/Core Black

MSRP: $180

Style Code: BB9194

Release Date: Friday, January 11th (24 Hour Quickstrike at 1 PM EST)

The last shoe in the big reveal is the N3XT L3V3L, definitely the standout model in terms of aesthetics and tech. The buzz around this shoe is how adidas has created a performance basketball shoe with no laces. This has raised some concerns regarding fit, with many hoping this isn’t just adidas trying to make something that is different for the sake of being different. The upper is comprised of Primeknit, ensuring that the upper is soft and could create a good fitting shoe.

The cushioning is what definitely has me hyped alongside others in the sneaker community. adidas is debuting their new Lightstrike foam midsole as the shoes cushioning setup. Wish I knew more on this new cushion, but for now let’s wait and see what gets revealed and you know I’ll write on that ASAP. adidas is sticking with a herringbone pattern on this model as they did on the previous two. Expect these to drop 12/1 for the price of $180 (YIKES. Let’s hope this new cushion setup and silhouette can perform can perform well on the hardwood).

That’s all for what adidas is cooking up for the end of the year/beginning of the year. They definitely aren’t staying stagnate with their designs and releases. Say what you want about the N3XT L3V3L, I’ll hold off on my judgements until I try on a pair and see if I really want to test them and get a Hoops Analysis on them.

adidas Hoops’ newest evolution of basketball will be available very soon, but in a limited amount. You can expect the Pro Vision, Marquee Boost, to release publicly in limited quantities for 24 hours on December 1st. After that, the Marquee Boost and Pro Vision will debut in a plethora of general release colorways on December 2nd. adidas Hoops will be releasing these three models somewhat unexpectedly. The N3XT L3V3L will be oddly available on January 11th for $180, beginning at 3 AM EST, and only on a 24 hour window. After that, the N3XT L3V3L collection will be available in the Spring/Summer of 2019. Thus, if other sneaker sites are saying they’re releasing December 1st, they are incorrect and aren’t doing the research. Will you be copping any of the new adidas performance kicks? Drop your thoughts down below.
