A new signature Nike Kevin Durant budget line may be coming soon, as a new model has surfaced with KD’s logos and branding, as well as an entirely new silhouette in comparison to the KD 13 and Trey 5 VIII.
Early rumors have aroused that these very well could be the next Trey 5 model, making it the line’s ninth model. However, the KD Trey 5 VIII only released in early April, thus it’s likely the following photo showcases what is likely to be a brand new budget Kevin Durant line, alongside the longstanding Trey 5 line. The only other Nike athletes to have multiple “budget” lines outside of the main signature series have been LeBron James (Soldier, Ambassador Witness), Kyrie Irving (Low, Flytap), and Kobe Bryant (Venomenom, Mamba Focus).
This new Kevin Durant model arrives with a ventilated textile mesh upper, paired with a sculpted ankle collar to allow for an easier entry into the shoe, and a standard set of laces. The tooling utilizes a likely Phylon foam midsole with what is likely to be a forefoot Zoom Air bag, per the branding at the forefoot of the foam laterally. In addition to the tooling, it also features a heel wrap up with a circular KD logo, along with a rubber outsole that wraps up over the heel and partially at the forefoot to complete the look.
