A Look At Unreleased AND1 Performance Basketball Shoes

Detailed look at unreleased AND1 basketball shoes.

Very recently, we published an article regarding Kevin Garnett’s recent tenure with AND1. Now, AND1 Design Director of Footwear, Lars Astrom, has shared a look at three unreleased AND1 performance basketball shoes.

“First round protos of the AND1 savage program from 2017-18. Our primary goal was to create a guard shoe that embodies power and support for the fleet footed baller. Through the use of an overlasted non-stretch custom jacquard upper working in unison with a TPU support system in the sole we achieved a form fitting all ball no bullshit performance style” – Lars Astrom.

“An alternate upper proto on the savage sole unit. Again the goal was support and containment, but we achieved this through an alternate solution. An asymmetric lacing system allows for a clean natural flex to occur during use, while the lockdown is maximized via the gillie support system running the entire length of the lateral.”
