Paul George, a 5x All Star, All-NBA Team selection, and defensive specialist; his signature sneakers with Nike Basketball have always paid homage to his childhood growing up, and brought inspiration from PG’s inspirations. While George may have only released signature sneakers with Nike for two, going on three years now, he has had four sneaker releases if you include the Nike PG 2.5. The Nike PG 3 has leaked around the net, and we’re here to report your First Look at it.
What we first speculated to be an affordable take-down option of Paul George’s signature sneakers, actually turns out to be his third signature shoe; the Nike PG 3. The newest iteration of the YG Trece line comes equipped with an overall similar silhouette as the Nike PG 2. The shoe will release in collaboration with NASA, while sporting a space-suit inspired look in volt orange, silver midsole, silver bootie, and blue accents make up the eyelets and synthetic lateral lockdown overlay. A crisp black finishes off most of the outsole, while a shimmering gym red showcases Nike’s Zoom Air Bag.
The kicks keep the same low-cut design its predecessors came with, and sports an indistinguishable look with the Nike PG 2. A black Nike swoosh is branded on the lateral side of the midsole, while a sized down flipped swoosh is featured on the medial side. Finishing touches include an embroidered NASA logo on the heel tab, United States flag on the right tongue, PG logo on the left tongue, and a quote around the midsole.
While an official release date has not been announced, you can expect the Nike PG 3 x NASA collaboration to make its public debut in February/March of 2019 in limited quantities for $110. Is PG13 bringing in his all with the Nike PG 3? Do they look too much like the Nike PG 2? Will these perform well on the hardwood? Grab a First Look at the Nike PG 3 down below and share your thoughts on them in the comment section. Stay tuned as official release details come underway.
